Captures closed captions from Parliament's own live video broadcast for both the House of Representatives and Federation Chamber. These are AI-generated captions produced by Parliament's broadcasting service – not generated by HouseLive.

Use of AI
AI tooling was used to help build HouseLive, but all live minutes and caption data shown in the app comes directly from Parliament's own systems — nothing is rewritten, summarised, or paraphrased by AI.
The live captions themselves are AI-generated by Parliament's broadcasting service (ParlView), not by HouseLive.
Limitations
- Minutes are draft records and may differ from the final Votes and Proceedings
- Captions are AI-generated by Parliament's broadcasting service and may contain errors or miss words
- Speaker identification in captions is based on colour coding, not names, and is not always accurate
- There may be gaps during sitting breaks, adjournments, or service interruptions
